Meet the Artisans Behind Our Collection

Every piece of Nordic Home furniture passes through the hands of skilled artisans. Today, we're introducing some of the people who make our collection possible.

Erik Lindqvist — Master Carpenter, Malmö

Erik has been shaping wood for over 30 years. His specialty is dining tables — large, solid pieces that become the center of family life. 'I don't try to make perfect pieces,' he says. 'I try to make honest ones. The wood has character — knots, grain variations, color shifts. These aren't flaws. They're the wood telling its story.'

Ingrid Haugen — Textile Weaver, Kaunas

Ingrid leads the team at our partner mill in Lithuania, where our linen upholstery is woven on traditional looms. 'Linen is alive,' she explains. 'It softens and drapes differently over time. When a customer tells me their sofa fabric has become more beautiful after five years — that's the highest compliment.'

Anders Petersson — Finish Specialist, Copenhagen

Anders is responsible for the final touch on every piece — the hand-applied oil finish. Three coats, each buffed by hand, create the warm, tactile surface that distinguishes our furniture. 'Machines can sand, but only hands can feel,' he says. 'I know a surface is ready when it feels like silk under my palm.'
